9.  Initially, select the Plain Base option from the Base Band drop-down.
10. Select "Jacketed" from the Alloy Type drop-down box and upon exiting a Weight/Length calculation window will appear.
      A. Enter a desired weight to calculate an initial length or enter a desired length to calculate an initial weight.
      B. An initial bullet length and in-case length will be calculated and entered into fields 11 and 12.
11. Do not edit the length until after the initial evaluation of the design.
12. Do not edit the calculated in-case length until after the initial evaluation of the design. When the in-Case field is exited, all remaining data fields will be filled with initial values.

Click the "Bullet Specs" button and evaluate the initial design.

Crimp Band Detail:
1.  Edit the crimp groove dimeter to the desired value. approximately 0.010" less than bullet diameter.
2.  For an initial plain base design, edit the crimp Band length to equal  ( in-case length - crimp length).
3.  Edit the Side< value to approximately 70 degrees.

Top Band Detail
For jacketed bullet designs, initially edit the length to 0.0 and the lower and top diameters to equal that of the desired diameter forward of the knurled groove.

Bore Ride Detail:
1. Edit values to the desired nose diameters forward of the knurled groove.
2. Editing the Bore Ride length will, in turn, change the ogive length and the ogive radius values.

Nose Detail
1. edit the meplate diameter and exit the field. The ogive radius will be recalculated .  To further alter the Tangent Ogive Radius value, the bore ride length value will need to be edited.
To change the ogive radius value with out changing the ogive length, return to the Nose Type field and select the "Secant Ogive" option.
An Edit Secant Ogive button will become visible. Click to open the Secant Ogive editor.

Base Band Length: ( editing band style and boat tail style )
